Kashkuli Gabbeh Carpet (square)
This is a smaller version of the Kashkuli Gabbeh carpet that I adapted from the chart I created for the rectangular version. It's about 5" square, stitched over one on 40-count evenweave. It's shown here in my half scale Rosedale.
I posted the charts for both versions of the Kashkuli Gabbeh carpet for free download (for personal use only).

Kashkuli Gabbeh both sizes
Here are two versions of the Kashkuli Gabbeh carpet that I designed based on pictures of real rugs. I posted the charts for both versions for free download (for personal use only).

Mudjar
This design is from the book Oriental Carpets in Miniature by Frank M. Cooper. It’s stitched over one on 36-count linen, for a finished size of about 4.5" x 6.75". I converted the colors from Paternayan wool to DMC floss, and made a few tweaks to the design. More details here.

Kashkuli Gabbeh
I charted this rug (right) based on a photo I found online (left). You can read about the process here. It's stitched over one on 40-count evenweave, for a finished size of approximately 4 13/16" x 7 3/8".
I posted the chart for this rug, as well as a smaller version of the Kashkuli Gabbeh carpet, for free download (for personal use only).

Heritage Sampler
This is the Heritage Sampler by Annelle Ferguson, stitched on silk gauze. It's one of the first petit point pieces I ever stitched, back in 2003 or so. The finished size is about 2" x 1.75".

Braided Rug
This is a 1:12 braided rug made from variegated DMC floss. You can read about how I made it here.

Braided Rug
This braided rug is made with Gloriana silk thread. It's pictured in the nursery of my half scale puzzle house. More details here.

Braided Rugs
Two more braided rugs. The one on the right is made with DMC and the one on the left with Gloriana silk thread, which is a bit finer and allows for a smaller braid.

William Morris
This is a William Morris style design from Janet Granger’s book Miniature Needlepoint Carpets. The pattern is for wool and I converted it to DMC. Janet also sells this design as a kit and a chart on her website, and the chart comes with DMC conversions.
I stitched this over one on either 40 or 36 count evenweave (can’t remember). The finished size is about 4" square.

Bakhtiari
This rug is the Bakhtiari designed by Sue Resseguie of the Petitpointers online group. She kindly makes this design available for free to members of the group. The finished size is about 6 1/8? x 9 1/4?, stitched over one on 40-count evenweave.

Jungle Animal Rug
I adapted this design from a life sized rug I found online. It's stitched over one on 40 count linen for a finished size of about 3.5" by 2.5". I'm using it in my Victorianna's nursery, which has a safari theme. More details and a downloadable chart are here.

Letter X Quilt
This pattern is from the June Grigg pamphlet More Charted Designs for Miniatures. I changed the colors and modified the bottom to accommodate the bedposts. It's stitched over-one on (I think?) 32-count evenweave. It's going in the attic bedroom of my Queen Anne Rowhouse.

Hallway Runner
I stitched this runner to go in my back-to-back Victorianna's long hallway. There's a hump in the floor where the two sides of the house meet up and I needed to cover it up!
The runner is adapted from a stair runner design in one of Pamela Warner's needlepoint books. I just kept stitching until it was long enough.

Teddy Bear Bedspread and Pillows
These are from Needlepoint 1/12 Scale (but they're 1:24 scale!) They're stitched over one on 36-count linen. The bedspread is supposed to be a carpet. I added a few rows to the bottom so it can tuck in at the foot of the bed. This bed will go in one of the little girl bedrooms in my Victorianna.

Persian Table Carpet
This is the Persian Table Carpet design by Lucy Iducovich, featured in Annelle Ferguson's book Traditional Needlework in Miniature. I stitched it over-one on 40-count linen for a finished size of about 7.25" x 5.75". It took me almost all year to stitch!

Chinese Carpet
This Chinese carpet design comes from Pamela Warner's Miniature Embroidery for the 20th Century Dolls' House. It's stitched over-one on 36 count fabric for a finished size of 2-5/16" by 2-13/16". I removed 10 rows on either side of the center medallion to make it a smaller rug than the original design.

Millie August Tabriz Carpet
This is stitched from the pamphlet Millie's Needlepoint Rugs, over-one on 36-count fabric, for a finished size of 2 5/8" x 3 1/2" not including the fringe.

Persian Carpet
This is a Persian carpet design from Pamela Warner's Miniature Embroidery for the Georgian Dolls' House. I stitched it over one on 40-count linen and the finished size is 3 1/4" by 5 1/8" (not including fringe), so it can work either as a large carpet in half scale or a smaller one in 1:12.

Sara Pittman Coverlet
This bedspread is the Sara Pittman Coverlet from the June Grigg pamphlet More Charted Designs for Miniature. To convert it to half scale I stitched it over-one on 36-count fabric (as opposed to the recommended 22 count), and kept my bed nearby so I could repeat the design just as much as needed for it to fit.

Heriz Carpet (half scale)
This is a half scale Heriz carpet stitched from a free design by Anna-Carin Betzén. She designed it for quarter scale but I increased the fabric count so it would work in half scale. The finished size is 1 5/8" by 3", stitched over one on 36-count evenweave.

Country Doormat
This is a hearth rug from the June Grigg pamphlet Country Collectibles for Miniatures. I stitched it to use as a doormat for a porch vignette. It's stitched over one on 36-count linen and the finished size is 1 7/8" by 1 1/4".

This design is from Miniature Embroidered Patchwork Projects. The original design uses reds, I changed the colors. It’s stitched over one on 32-count linen and the finished size is about 2 5/8? by 3 3/8?.

Lucy Iducovich Bakhtiari
This design is from a Lucy Iducovich kit that I bought at a mini show around 2001 and promptly stashed away. When I stitched it in 2013 it was the most intricate petit point I'd done to date. The kit came with silk gauze, which I don't enjoy working on, so swapped it for 36-count linen (stitched over-one). The finished size is approximately 7.25" x 9.5". It was my first attempt at fringe!

Blue Kirman Carpet
The pattern is freely available from Dancing Violet Needlework Designs. It’s stitched over-one on 35-count linen. The finished size is about 2.75" by 4.5".

Tabriz Carpet
The pattern is freely available from Dancing Violet Needlework Designs. They recommend stitching it on 18-count fabric but I wanted it to be half scale so I used 35-count. The finished size is approximately 3 inches by 4.25 inches.

Small Georgian Carpet
A design from Pamela Warner's Miniature Embroidery for the Georgian Dolls' House. This small carpet is stitched on 40-count linen, with a finished size of about 1.5 inches by 3 inches.

Floral Wreath Carpet
This pattern came from a leaflet named Miniature Heirlooms by Kay's Creations. It's stitched on 40-count linen (which was pretty tough on my eyes!) and the finished size is 3-3/8" by 4-1/2" not including fringe.

Georgian Cushion Designs
These are cushion designs from Pamela Warner's Miniature Embroidery for the Georgian Dolls' House. They're supposed to be square but I stitched them on fabric that has a different thread count horizontally than vertically so they'd come out rectangular. (It's supposedly 56-count fabric... I found out that it wasn't square the hard way!)
I stitched them this way so they could fit into the rectangular frame of the Cassidy Creations firescreen kit.

The design is based on a real carpet designed by C.F.A. Voysey, which you can see here.
